A tear of the ACL can increasingly be attributed to an elevated tibial slope. For athletically active people in particular, a treatment option is correction of the slope with an anterior closing osteotomy. This increasingly popular surgical procedure can shift some of the tension away from the ACL and toward the ACL by correcting the slope.
Using mediCAD, you can measure the current slope and plan your correction on a lateral radiograph by calculating the desired slope, including the necessary wedge heights and angles. Bring your planning to a successful conclusion with the appropriate osteosynthesis plate.
