      Foot / Ankle

Enables optimal preoperative total ankle replacement planning, sizing and instrumentation of prosthesis and medical devices for feet, ankles and toes. Dimensions of predefined medial and anterior anatomic angles on the hindfoot, midfoot and forefoot such as pes carvus and pes planus are possible. The module incorporates CT scans for in-depth views of metatarsal bones, calcaneal structures, the subtalar joint and talar component.

      Hallux valgus

Enables the analysis of the preoperative situation with x-rays and CT scans by automatically calculating all relevant angles and severity of the hallux valgus, or bunion. Depending on which surgical technique is used – arthrodesis, lapidus or osteotomy – postoperative results can be simulated at any time. All individual dimensioning options and a variety of prosthesis and medical devices are available.

      Flatfoot (Pes planus)

In the “flat foot” function, measurements such as the calcaneus, talo-metatarsal or talo-calcaneal angle are possible. These can be used for additional assessment of additional pathological situations such as hammer toe.

      Ankle Joint Instability

With just a few clicks, mediCAD allows you to obtain a precise tibial and talus overview to determine the stability of the total ankle system in a weight-bearing shot with the “Ankle instability” function. This feature can be particularly useful across a range of diagnoses and procedures including ankle fractures, ankle arthritis, ankle fusions and other ankle surgeries.
