      With 2D Knee you can plan total knee arthroplasty, partial knee replacement and knee prostheses in Antero-Posterior (AP) and Medio-Lateral (ML) levels. Possible axis misalignments can be identified and corrected during planning, making it possible to assess correction of the force applied to the entire leg and knee joint preoperatively and postoperatively. This can significantly extend the lifespan of knee prostheses, custom implants and other knee replacement options. mediCAD® corrects any misalignments automatically, or through manual specifications, depending on the desired objective. 2D Knee also calculates the mechanical axes, the bearing line and all relevant angles, ensuring greater patient satisfaction and more successful knee replacement surgeries.

      mediCAD corrects the malposition automatically or by manual input, depending on the desired objective. It calculates the expected postoperative mechanical axes, the longitudinal axes and all relevant angles. Planning is performed on whole-leg AP and partial ML X-ray images simultaneously. In this way, the posterior condyle can be optimally assessed.

      Autoplan Knee

      With the “Auto Plan Knee” function for custom knee replacement, all dimensions and axis misalignments are automatically carried out and corrected after the relevant knee implant landmarks have been automatically recognized. With this function, mediCAD® offers fast and efficient endoprosthetic preoperative planning and instrumentation for total knee replacement surgery. Using a favorites list, automatic determinations can be limited to an individually preferred knee implant manufacturer or custom implant configuration.
