In times of technological change, mediCAD offers increased comfort in the planning of (endo)prostheses. With the new version 7.0 you get numerous new measurement options, new modules, as well as the latest technological achievements. At the same time, mediCAD ensures intuitive operation of the software and offers new options to adjust mediCAD according to your preferences.
With the new WOM you get an overview of all available 2D and 3D modules of mediCAD. Through the user-friendly platform, you can see at a glance which modules have been purchased and for which modules no license is currently (yet) available.
In the WOM, you can click directly on the desired submodule – for example, FAI in the Hip module – and start planning immediately.
It has never been easier to put together an individual workflow for planning. Customers of mediCAD 7.0 can create their own workflows for the hip, knee and osteotomy modules using the wizard to carry out planning according to personal ideas and patient-specific necessities. This ensures that only desired measurements are taken, allowing planning to be completed in less time.
For knee specialists, mediCAD 7.0 offers special innovations that complement the spectrum of knee endoprosthetics in a targeted manner. By measuring the tibial slope according to Dejour and correcting it with an anterior closing osteotomy, for example, the ACL can be relieved to prevent a cruciate ligament tear. Furthermore, the partial knee module can now be used to plan a prosthesis on the basis of a partial knee image. Of course, it is still possible to plan a knee prosthesis based on a whole-leg radiograph.
The maxim of mediCAD is to deliver high-quality measurement results in a short time. This is achieved through additional automations that independently calculate the desired values through set landmarks. One new feature is the automatic calculation of wedge heights for open and closed wedge osteotomies. In addition, it is now also possible to work comfortably in the autoplan for ML hip exposures.
With an upgrade to mediCAD 7.0, the 3D hip module is included free of charge. Easily switch between 2D and 3D hips, depending on the complexity of the case. Also, discuss your planning with colleagues using the included secure Messenger chatMED. High-tech encryption as well as the interface to your PACS for sending DICOM images ensure the highest level of security and convenience in the medical environment.
The Radiology module can be used to perform the most common radiological dimensions. The workflows of mediCAD allow complex radiological measurements to be performed in the shortest possible time. A diagnostic report created with mediCAD, including a detailed planning report, revolutionizes the collaboration between radiologists and orthopedists.
The new version mediCAD 7.0 receives a technologically renewed server backend, which ensures that the software will always remain state-of-the-art in the future. A special feature of mediCAD is the implant database with over 128 manufacturers, which has now been converted to SQL.
