      The future of orthopaedics

Digitalisation is revolutionising the healthcare sector and opening up new opportunities for clinics. mediCAD Hectec GmbH, a leading company in medical software development, is actively shaping this change. Since its foundation, mediCAD has developed innovative solutions that improve medical care and make work processes more efficient.

mediCAD offers advanced 2D and 3D software for precise surgical planning and accurate implant placement. The software automates measurements, optimises the workflow and saves up to 85% of planning time. The automatic archiving and traceability of all information ensures secure documentation, leading to better patient outcomes and greater satisfaction. mediCAD integrates seamlessly into existing systems such as PACS and, with the web module, offers the option of working from any location via the browser.

In addition to pre-operative planning, the 3D planning can be taken into the operating theatre as a hologram. Mixed reality enables doctors to perform more precise operations and avoid errors. The live transmission facilitates collaborative work and documentation of the operation theatre.

The AIOA project deserves special mention. The mediCAD® Artificial Intelligence Ortho Agent uses an AI that accesses a database in which pre-operative images, diagnoses and procedures are stored. The AI provides diagnostic suggestions, carries out preoperative planning and assists live in the operating theatre to support doctors in making critical decisions.
